Eaton’s Utility segment of its Digital Office is looking for a Software Developer for Enterprise Systems. This position may be located at our Montreal offices or remote from within the surrounding St. Bruno, South Shore, or Montreal areas. Position Overview: The Software Developer is a motivated professional who will be responsible for software development and maintenance of our substation automation products. The software developer participates in the definition of needs and solutions, investigates and solves various issues, codes and tests the functionalities of the software that he or she develops or maintains. The candidate will be exposed to different aspects and technologies of our substation automation products and will work in team with a variety of technical experts. They will also participate in sprint planning exercises, daily SCRUM meetings, and sprint end review and retro. Making what matters work at Eaton takes the passion of every employee around the world. Essential Responsibilities: You will design, implement, and maintains efficient, reliable, and reusable code. You will analyze technical specifications and propose innovative solutions. You will develop and document verification test plans. You will write unit tests and automated integration tests, perform manual testing, review peer-written code and writes reports. Participates in the investigation of problems by gathering enough information to find the root causes and fix them. Participates in all stages of the development cycle. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline. Very good knowledge of C#. Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server. Knowledge of Microsoft .Net Framework (Using C#). Knowledge of MVC ASP .Net. French (spoken and written) and business functional level in English (spoken and written). Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship. Must reside within an 80km radius of our St-Bruno or Montreal office, can work remote if residing within the surrounding areas of St-Bruno and/or Montreal. Preferred Qualifications: 1-3 years’ experience of software development in C++. Knowledge of secure development practices. Understanding of typical software architecture and best-practices for software development. Experience with basic networking.
