.The Technology, Pathfinding, and Innovation team in SATG/DSE is doing advanced development to define the future of oneAPI. We are looking for a computational scientist to guide the extension oneAPI to map effectively to distributed, heterogeneous environments. The candidate must have experience developing large scientific applications that run on large heterogeneous multi-node computing systems.

Responsibilities include:

• Bringing learnings from existing heterogeneous and distributed computing solutions to oneAPI
• Defining and specifying new language extensions, library definitions, and programming tools
• Implementing prototypes that can be used to measure the value of new proposals
• Communicating ideas to other oneAPI architects
• Helping HPC customers with their most challenging problems with training and code review

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

• PhD in scientific discipline
• 10 or more years experience architecting and developing scientific applications
• Deep knowledge of distributed computing and shared-memory parallel computing
• Proven knowledge of modern C++, Python, Fortran
