Microsoft Managed Desktop (MMD) is a groundbreaking, customer-first offering from the Commercial Management Experiences (CMX) group at Microsoft. We extend the Microsoft Intelligent Cloud platform by leveraging Microsoft identity service (AAD), Microsoft Endpoint Manager service (MEM), device management, endpoint security, and desktop analytics to build a set of global services and operations at scale to create a secure, productive, and turnkey computing environment for enterprises. Responsibilities
You will be part of an agile team working with experienced engineers that behaves more like a start-up than an established team.
Facilitate a close development to engineer multiple customer facing as well as backend services that scale to manage millions of devices and device configuration
Engineer a modern data pipeline to collect, organize, and process data
Participate and facilitate a close development partnership with our Multi-tenant Operations team
Participate on the design and creation of solutions that allow MMD to offer a high level of service – reliable, available, and scalabl
Ideate and propose new product innovations to meet the needs of our customers
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related field
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer designing, implementing and shipping cloud services or software products
- 3+ years of experience with distributed systems delivering large-scale, secure, and resilient cloud services
- Experience with web or application development with full stack (data engineering, micro-service design)
- Experience with Big Data analytic technologies (Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, SQL, or equivalent)
- Interface design with coding proficiency in C#/Java, .NET, React, JavaScript, node.js, or equivalent languages/frameworks
- Exceptional software development design, debugging and troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding and proven skills in raw and processed stream design, relational database design and dimensional models
- Ability to work in ambiguous situations
- Passion for and ability to quickly understand emerging technologies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with the Microsoft Azure or similar cloud platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record of strong customer advocate and creative problem solver
- Proven track record of working across teams to deliver shared solutions to complex problems
- Ability to quickly ramp up, understand complex problems, and create solutions
- Ambitious, self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
