Job Description

The Software Enabling and Optimization FPGA Engineer Intern is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Developing and/or optimizing cross/full stack software to enable or analyze Intel platforms.
  • Applying expertise in both software and hardware to optimize for a specific segment such as cloud, Enterprise, AI, HPC, Edge, network, or client.
  • Understanding partner and customer software stacks and engages as a trusted technical advisor to discover opportunities to showcase value of Intel technology and platforms aligned with mutual roadmap.
  • May also analyze and benchmark a platform, including power, performance, security, responsiveness, development of KPIs (Key Performance Indicator), and/or system level measurement methodologies as part of platform and software optimization.
  • May act as the voice of the partner/customer software stack to influence Intel platform/technology roadmap.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Robotics/Digital Engineering.
  • 3+ months of experience with Computer Architecture, Operating Systems, C programming, SoCs (Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone Black, etc.), or Networking concepts.
  • 2+ months of microcontrollers experience or projects performed.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
