Role Summary:

• An exceptional SharePoint, Software Engineer to join a team developing SDL’s in-house business application systems.
• Will be working as part of highly motivated, intelligent, agile team writing software that will help our organization maintain its profitability.
• Familiarity with agile processes, and Test Driven Development would also be desirable

Key Responsibilities:

• Work through a product backlog to deliver both new features and enhancements to existing features in the software.
• Where appropriate, liaise with the end user to refine the software requirements.
• Develop high quality solutions that respond to the business needs.
• Be involved in the troubleshooting and resolution of defects in the software.
• Help define and implement suitable acceptance / unit tests for your solutions.
• Proactively suggest improvements to the design of the software.
• Accurately document the solutions you produce.
• Use slack time to expand your skill set in ways that drive forward your own abilities in a way that is beneficial to SDL.

Skills & Experience:

Essential

• SharePoint
• Microsoft Environment.
• 2 years’ experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot, communicate and resolve generalized system, data, and/or application issues.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Excellent communication and English language skills.

Desirable

• ASP.NET
• C#
• SQL
• JavaScript
• Experience of working in an agile development environment.
• Experience of working with jQuery and HTML/CSS.
• Experience of Test Driven Development.
• Object Oriented Programming.

Qualifications and pre-requisite

Essential:

B.E/B.Tech/MCA degree or equivalent work experience.
