Job Description

Ethernet Products Group (EPG), within Intel's Network and Edge Group, is one of the fastest growing organizations in Intel. We are now building a team of highly motivated software engineers to change the future of Ethernet debuggability through state-of-the-art software tools and solutions.

We are looking for a passionate software engineer with a strong desire to dive deep into complex problem solving, especially in the area of Ethernet debuggability. You will part of our globally distributed team to help deliver high quality, efficient and scalable software tools and programmability solutions portfolio to our customers.

What you will do

As a software engineer focused on developing software tools and solutions for Ethernet debuggability, you will be responsible for:
- Being an excellent team player of Ethernet debug tools team, working closely with team members located in various parts of the world.
- Development and unit testing the new features primarily in application backend for existing and upcoming Datacenter Ethernet products.
- Working closely with our stakeholders, product and solution architects, customers, partners etc. to develop highly effective software tools and solutions.
- Shaping the future of Datacenter Ethernet debuggability enablement through software tools by proactively providing valuable feedback to influence future products development.
- Debugging complex networking stack issues down to the binary level.
- Developing automated CI/CD solutions to simplify product delivery.
- Delivering high quality, on time product enablement through deep collaboration with our global validation team.
- Ensuring our software deliverables are secure and compliant to Intel's various processes such as Secure code development, legal compliance etc.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering with 2+ years of relevant work experience OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering with 6+ months of relevant experience through internships/academic projects.
6+ months of experience in C/C++, Python, object oriented programming, unit testing, data structures, algorithms and multithreading.
6+ months of experience in automation using Python, primarily in the area of continuous integration and delivery pipeline.
6+ months of experience in application development in Linux/ESXi.
6+ months of experience in Jenkins or other relevant CI/CD pipeline development (e.g. Jenkinsfile).

Preferred Qualifications

C/C++, Python, object oriented programming, unit testing, data structures, algorithms and multithreading skills.
Experience in automation using Python, primarily in the area of continuous integration and delivery pipeline
Experience with application development in Linux/ESXi.
Experience working with  TCP/IP networking stack.
Experience of cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes etc.
Experience with Git, GitHub, JIRA, Scrum (agile), code review systems (e.g. Gerrit)
