The Capacity Management team within MCIO is at the tip of the Capacity Fulfillment promise for the Microsoft cloud, building the engineering systems that are needed to address this critical problem for Microsoft. Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer who is passionate about solving large business optimization problems at scale and help develop a new class of services and automation techniques to innovate how Microsoft manages Cloud capacity. If you are comfortable incubating software solutions to large-scale business problems, can collaborate effectively throughout C+E, enjoy dealing with ambiguity and creating clarity then this is the position for you.
Responsibilities:
- Contributing to enumerating and documenting the business and engineering requirements for cloud infrastructure capacity planning and management
- Work on a highly scalable & reliable capacity management system which can dynamically manage the capacity to meet the customer demand
- Leverage and use templates, best practices, and automated quality gates necessary to ensure consistent implementation of components across team
- Contribute to the architecture, design reviews for across multiple components
- Drive execution and demonstrate end to end ownership of technical projects tasks to successful completion
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent,
- 5 years in Software Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to quickly pick up new technologies and industry trends
- Experience with big data is a plus
- Strong problem solving, communication skills, and self-driven.
