The ServiceNow Engineering and Automation team is responsible for the engineering, integration, and operation of the Microsoft ServiceNow instance supporting thousands of employees and partners worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to focus on ServiceNow platform engineering, configuration, and operation. Additionally, there are opportunities for the integration of ServiceNow with Microsoft technologies such as Teams, Azure ML, and AAD to drive a high degree of business value for our partner teams.

SWEs dive deep into code and work with fellow programming experts to solve problems and build powerful new tools. You are required to think about the customer to ensure stellar product quality, and you provide technical guidance to PMs as they communicate user needs and product requirements. You will take ownership of your code and act as the directly responsible individual to rapidly turn around production fixes.
This person will deliver end to end solutions by leading a Feature Crew to drive innovative scenarios for our business units using ServiceNow, and spearhead integrations with Microsoft-wide internal services to increase service efficiency.
As a Sr SWE, you are dedicated to producing the world’s most advanced software, services, and solutions all while maintaining an available and reliable service.

Candidates should have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in engineering production systems: planning, prototyping, developing, analyzing data, stabilizing and releasing
- Strong design, coding, debugging skills and in-depth knowledge in an OOP language that is readily demonstrable, such as C#, C++ or Java
- 2-3 years’ experience engineering and operating solutions on top of the ServiceNow platform (Kingston or later version). ServiceNow certifications are a plus
- Be team focused. highly motivated, and self-driven
- Passion to tackle challenging and unknown areas and an ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Practical experience with DevOps concepts and experience with running large scale services reliably
