Senior Software Architect

Yes? Okay, then this is the ideal opportunity for you, as we are looking for an experienced Software Architect to expand our team in Amsterdam.

You will work on our product Tridion Sites, which is an intelligent content platform that enables companies to activate content for employees, partners, customers, by optimizing content processes at scale. Tridion establishes a single source of truth and provides a connected content journey.

Our software is used by the biggest brands in the world, and as such, you can imagine we need to provide a state-of-the-art and scalable architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for leading technological innovation for our product
• You will be designing our architectural runway and you will identify concrete steps to get where we need to be
• You will work hand-in-hand with Product Management to define the priorities of these technological advancements.
• You will evangelize our architectural vision to our internal stakeholders including Professional Services, Customer Support, Sales, but also C-level execs.
• You are the spokesperson for our customers and partners
• You will communicate with your peers in our other development centers based in Kyiv (Ukraine) and Leuven (Belgium), but also with peers cross-product line to identify possible synergies
• You will actively mentor your peer developers on a technical level
• You will drive technical initiatives from inception to completion
• You are still hands-on and if needed you will dive into real code, and you will be reviewing deliverables from peers once in a while
• Unfortunately, things do not always go well, and you will be involved during customer escalations too, but you do realize that handling an escalation well strengthens our relationship with the customer.
• We are expecting active participation with all the different teams

Your Profile

• You preferably hold a Master degree in Software Engineering or equivalent
• You have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a software architect
• You have strong business acumen and you understand that every decision needs to be backed by a solid business case.
• You think “Product” and not “one-off”
• You are very customer-focused, you are pragmatic and you have a “get things done” attitude with excellent organizational skills
• You have excellent knowledge of computer systems, algorithms, flows etc.
• You have experience with developing microservices-based cloud solutions
• You are energized by working in a multi-cultural environment and are a real team player
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbally and written
• You have excellent problem-solving skills
• Experience with .NET / C#
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Knowledge of automation through for example PowerShell, etc.
• Knowledge of XML, XSLT, DTD, XSD

Desired skills

• Experience with using a content management system
• Experience in search systems (e.g. Elasticsearch)
• Experience in cloud frameworks and supporting technologies
• Knowledge of software containers, Docker, ECS, Kubernetes, UNIX, etc.
• Knowledge of web frameworks
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases
