Eaton’s Electrical Sector, Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure (CDPI) division is currently seeking an Entry - Level Software Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Raleigh, NC location. This position is hybrid as long as you live within 50 miles of our location. Relocation assistance will be provided (US Only). Position Overview: Eaton's Critical Power & Digital Infrastructure Division in Raleigh, NC is looking for a Software Engineer to serve as a technical interface and resource for the development and implementation of hardware and software designs for Eaton and/or other branded products that are critical to the success of Eaton and its partners. This expertise is used to support specific customer applications, sales, and engineering functions. Additionally, this position serves as an engineering resource to support related factory and field service issues. Essential Functions: Develop software for power distribution, HMI, and power monitoring software programs Produce HMI controls and microprocessors software for Eaton Power Quality switchboard applications for Multi-Tenant, Enterprise, and Hyperscale Data Centers Develop conceptual and end product Power Quality designs with input from customers and end-users; develops design concepts, engineering, and hardware quotations for these designs. Follow customer's specifications and internal specifications for project implementation. Develop and maintain customer relationships and resolve complaints. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Minimum of one (1) year of engineering experience (internship included) in software/embedded development, electrical design, or power electronics. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Training on Design for Six Sigma concepts preferred. Developing, coding, and troubleshooting real-time software Programming in C, C++, in an embedded environment Knowledge of three-phase power systems, power electronics, and power conversion topologies is a plus. Position Criteria: Ability to work as an individual contributor as well as a team member on a new product development project Understanding of analog and digital circuitry Knowledge of version control repository hosting services such as Bitbucket, SVN Excellent verbal/ written communications.
