Azure Data Catalog's job is to get customers answers to these questions. That is why we are building an automated Platform as a Service infrastructure to
Automatically scan and categorize all forms of data everywhere they live, from on-premises, to Azure and to other clouds,
Enable customers to define the data policies they need to meet corporate and government compliance requirements and then enforce those policies on the customer's behalf and
Make all this data discoverable and re-usable at scale.
From AI to distributed systems Azure Data Catalog is using cutting edge technologies to make corporate data useful and safe. As an engineer in the team, you're going to touch and be familiar with all the building stones of Azure and will become an expert in building services using Azure in the project.
Responsibilities
We are looking for experienced software engineers who can design and implement large scale cloud service independently. You need to be able to understand the feature requirements from customer, work with program manager to define the desire experience and best design to full fill that. Also, you need to have strong coding capability to quickly turn the design into high quality code which had good test coverage and great performance. Azure Data Catalog is a service in Azure so you need to also had good devops skillset and debug skill set.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- BS or MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Solid in software design and development and fluent in one of the major languages: C++/Java/C#, 5+ years’ experience is a must.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- With technical passion and terrific problem-solving skills to drive for result and impact.
- Having a proven experience in design and implementing high scalable/available/reliable distributed service/system.
- Having a proven experience in releasing enterprise software/service.
- Having a deep Java experience will be a plus.
- Having experience with building services using ElasticSearch will be a plus.
- Having experience in devops will be plus.
- The ability to fully understand problem spaces and independently drive areas forward
