Microsoft PowerApps platform (part of Business Application Group) aims to be the platform of choice for building components that permit high productivity and no-code NextGen application development. The platform empowers customers to easily customize, develop, and deploy business applications that work online and offline, for consumption on mobile devices and the web, without the need to write code. PowerApps platform is a rapidly growing business at Microsoft. Dynamics 365 CE Apps (OOB 1st Party or ISV/Customer developed) are all powered by declarative metadata-driven Business Apps Platform that allows rapidly building (no-code to low-code) full-fledged applications via its range of customizations and extensions capabilities – from the Server tiers to the Client. All Business Apps experiences will be automatically surfaced by state-of-the-art declarative Client Infrastructure.

The Client Infrastructure is designed to seamlessly facilitate the paradigm of “Build Once, Deploy Everywhere” – that is, any and every aspect of a Business App will be reproduced in full fidelity across all the expected user client surfaces. All this is made possible by an extremely rich metadata driven framework that helps drive a consistent experience from browsers to devices and online to offline, delivering a fully responsive design that responds to various form factors and windows sizes – including embedded and contextual experience in other popular productivity Apps. The infrastructure is built ground up to be optimized for the different interaction mechanisms – mouse, keyboard and touch whilst adhering to foundational principles for making it accessible for BVI (Blind and Visually Impaired) users. It enables applications to plug into a wide spectrum of data sources like CDS, SQL, SharePoint, Oracle, etc. which enables visualization of the data in a single app.

Our team works in an agile start-up like environment where we expect each team member to think out of the box to contribute and collaborate towards the mission of the team in a feature-crew setting. As part of this team you would get exciting opportunities to work on cutting edge technologies across a variety of platforms to build the next generation application experiences for PowerApps Platform and revolutionize the way businesses operate. We are looking for individuals to self-starters who grow into subject matter experts or technical leaders in design and implementation for the next generation cloud platform capabilities we are building. These capabilities must also scale out to support active usage around the world by thousands of customers 24x7.  You will be expected to work collaboratively within the team and provide technical oversight to feature crews, work through competing priorities, and solve complex technical challenges to meet business goals and maintain live site availability.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

- 3+ years of experience in software development

- 3+ years of solid experience in an OO Language like C# or Java

- 3+ Experience with HTML5, JavaScript

- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent or 5+ years of industry experience

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with TypeScript, front-end technologies like Redux/React and upcoming web technologies

- Experience building applications on the Azure platform

- Cross-platform application development on iOS, Android, Windows and modern web browsers
