We’re the Azure Media Services team that delivers end-to-end video platform in the cloud. Video is a workload that is always testing the limits of the entire technology stack. Its real-time nature and huge data volume make it a true engineering challenge.

Azure Media Services provides broadcast-quality video streaming services that can reach large audiences on today’s most popular mobile devices. It has been used for multiple high-profile online events including Olympics, World Cup Soccer and Super Bowl streaming which demonstrated the massive scale and robustness of the platform. Azure Media Services is also a video AI platform which provides ever growing AI capabilities including audio indexing, face detection, motion detection, sentiment analysis, etc.

Responsibilities

Our team affords high visibility & tremendous career growth prospects. We are building world-class highly scalable platform level services on which Azure media video processing and streaming pipelines are being built. We support cross-platform clients that run on all popular devices, in-depth audio/video processing at scale, studio-grade content protection solution and so on.

You will be responsible for designing and developing new experiences in Azure portal for Azure Media Services extension. You will be at frontline of new and evolving web technologies and will be responsible for evaluating these to create innovative UI.

Candidates must have a track record for delivering complete, high-quality design and implementation. In addition, you need to deal well with ambiguity and can help define clear goals and keep them in focus. You must have demonstrated ability to work well both independently and collectively in a team environment.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

• 3+ years of professional experience as a developer in JavaScript, HTML, JavaScript, TypeScript or CSS
• BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering field
• Ability to empathize with customer’s requirements and build UX with a customer-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented design and programming skills.
• Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and cross- team collaboration skills.
• Expertise in building scalable web application and reusable modules
• Familiar with frontend test framework, build pipelines and tools
• Experience with media technologies is a plus but not required.
• Experience with frontend frameworks like Angular, React and Knockout is a plus but not required.
