Microsoft Azure is undergoing explosive growth as customers around the world realize the benefits of moving their applications to the cloud. Within Azure, serverless compute platforms such as containers and Azure Functions are rapidly being embraced by customers big and small. Come join a new project that is responsible for securing Azure’s serverless offerings from one of the most common attack vectors – software vulnerabilities. This is an opportunity to join this effort at its inception, and thereby shape the long term vision for how Azure secures serverless platforms. You will gain experience in designing and operating large scale services while keeping our operational burden to a minimum.
Responsibilities
The serverless computing landscape is evolving quickly. So, you will work in a fast-paced environment to prototype and design approaches to detect vulnerabilities on such platforms. You should be comfortable delivering alpha/preview releases and iterating and learning from them to deliver a production release. You will build services that are highly available and fault tolerant, while operating at Azure scale. A successful candidate will be a fast learner, self-motivated and demonstrate ownership and good collaboration skills.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of software development experience using C++, C# or Java
- BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Kubernetes/(Azure Functions)/(AWS Lambda) is a plus
- Experience developing large scale services in a cloud platform
- An understanding of security in cloud platforms is a plus
