This is a Software Engineer role reporting to the Engineering Manager I in the Business Area - Process Automation located in Shanghai, China.

Your responsibilities

• Working as part of automation container terminal project team, focusing on container terminal work process interface design and commissioning between TOS and crane control system.
• Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code with tool C#, Java and Database.
• Working together with oversea ABB engineer to join software site commissioning and technical meeting on customer site.
• Providing technical support to sales team for ABB container automation system promotion.
• Providing technical support to service team for trouble shooting as on-site job.
• Knowing well about the automation container terminal work process operation and working on it.

Your background

• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in engineering in software designing.
• Possess good working knowledge of process control applications.
• Strong in high-level programming language (C++, C#, Java), good knowledge in databases like SQL, ORACLE etc.
• General competencies like good spoken and writing skills in English, problem solving attitude, teamwork skills, time management and positive attitude to work are expected.
