Microsoft Edge Android is a fast, clean browser integrated with many intelligent services, which serve as a big traffic portal for Bing, Office, Cortana and other Microsoft productions. Its rating beats Google Chrome in Google Play Store.
The team started this project from zero and now it become a key strategic mobile project in Microsoft. Now many other Microsoft teams around the world contribute to Edge mobile, leading by the core engineering team in China. The team runs with start up culture which foster flatten organization, direct communication and agile project execution. We are data driven and customer feedback driven. Our goal is to make Edge mobile the most popular mobile browser.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the Edge mobile development on Android. This includes feature design / development, quick prototyping, automation tests, technical investigation and so on. As we iterate fast and build upon many existing technologies, technical investigation will be an important part in daily work. All features need to be shipped with high quality and performance. You will work with other teams in China closely, as well as with partner teams across the world.
Qualifications
- Solid development skill on mobile software like Android or iOS is highly recommended.
- Passion on end user facing product development and mobile development.
- Full stack engineering including client side and server side experience is a big plus.
- strong problem-solving skills, drive for results, and ability to work independently.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- 2+ years of software development experience.
