Software Engineer for Binary Instrumentation Automation team

Job Description

An elite software team at the very heart of Intel CPU development cycle (responsible for super-accurate simulation tools for modeling the most critical piece of Intel hardware - the Big Core), is looking for a brilliant automation owner to keep up with modern software development practices and leverage latest and greatest technologies available to ensure the highest imaginable quality of our software products.


In practice, in foreseeable future, we'll need your help with restructuring the source code of multiple projects, enforcing dev cycle and code review methodologies, modernizing CI/CD, gathering and processing telemetry data, optimizing distributed build systems and leveraging modern container-based cloud compute to scale up execution capabilities for the ever-growing set of validation and analysis flows: functional, performance, security, quality, linting, etc.


Technology stack: Git, GitHub, TeamCity, Kotlin, Python, VSCode, Cmake, Ninja, Singularity, Splunk.


Qualifications

  • True passion for automation, orchestration, visualization, optimization and getting complex things done with a click of a button, ideally without writing too much code.
  • True passion for learning and trying new software development tools and technologies.
  • Ability to analyze complex systems and provide a clear picture of what's going on.
  • 3 years of experience working in/with a team of C/C++ software engineers.
  • Git expertise, GitHub experience.
  • Unix environment experience.
  • Python experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
