We want this to strengthen even further, so our team is currently looking for a SAP Software Engineer – Physical Logistics.
Based in the IT EWM team in Oxford with a hybrid model of on site and home office, the BMW Group offers an interesting job in the areas of warehouse management, incoming goods and dispatch.
WHAT AWAITS YOU?
• Your main tasks include the independent analysis, conception, realization and implementation of IT systems as part of the redesign of logistics processes in the international plant network of the BMW Group.
• Your focus will be on SAP (SAP S/4 Hana and ECC 6.0), but will also include working on the necessary middleware components, e.g. interfaces and a hybrid cloud architecture (e.g. Azure, Kafka).
• You will provide competitiveness through innovation by identifying potentials for new IT solutions and acting as a consultant interfacing with IT customers.
• IT project management in line with Agile and ITPM standards working with both internal and external partners.
• Cooordinating with the central business departments, your responsibilities will include service and account management by providing a single point of contact for all IT topics and their independent implementation in SAP.
• Use of Incident, Problem, Change, Release and Configuration Management in line with policies and procedures and in conjunction with other teams within the IT community.
• Undertaking internal process planning, you will support planning and monitoring of department budgets and the creation of IT reports to the business.
• You will be responsible for performing and participating in Unit Testing, SIT, Integration and Regression testing.
• Successful completion of your studies at university with a focus on computer science, industrial engineering, business administration or mathematics with a focus on IT.
• Professional experience in the field of SAP process/software engineering and/or process consulting would be beneficial.
• You should have excellent knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4 HANA (e.g. modules WM, TM and Embeded EWM).
• Specialist knowledge of the ABAP programming language, knowledge of ODATA services and Fiori development is also a distinct advantage.
• Experience of project management and methodologies, particularly Agile, would be valuable.
• A good knowledge of Written and Spoken English is required and knowledge of German is a distinct advantage.
