Scope of Position: Perform detailed software development work in the areas of programming and testing of a software project. Apply knowledge and principles of software engineering and programming to product development and product support.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain software for the microfluidics, MEMS, and 3D microstructures
• Resolve software defects in existing software programs
• Work as part of a team to understand user requirements and map these to appropriate software specifications and designs

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: 40+

Required Skills:

• Validated ability to make significant contributions to innovative and user-friendly technical software
• Professional graphical user interface (GUI) design and development scientific / technical data analysis and presentation
• Demonstrated fluency and skills with C++, C# and the Microsoft .NET Framework
• Self-starter who can work both independently or as part of a small team
• Able to work efficiently on a variety of projects and pick up new technical concepts quickly
• Strong communication and social skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience with developing packages for 3rd party HW devices
• Experience with semiconductor industry
• Knowledge of MFC on Win32 platform
• Microsoft Visual Studio C++ 2015
• Knowledge of computer vision algorithms

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Masters is a plus
• 2+years in Software Development
