Intel's Manufacturing and Product Engineering organization is starting a new SW team in Costa Rica as part of its Component Debug Solutions team. CD is Intel's center of excellence for deep Si debug in support of post-Si product ramp and enabling, spread across the US, Malaysia, Israel, and Costa-Rica.
We are seeking a bright and highly motivated software engineer to join our team. The right candidate will be responsible for creation, implementation, and optimization of software tools in support of various domains including design, manufacturing, validation, silicon production, systems integration, software application products, or ecosystem enabling. Utilizes modern software development methodologies, programming languages, domain knowledge, and secure coding practices to design, develop, debug, and/or validate algorithms, software tools, and systems that enable our internal/external engineering partners to design/manufacture intel silicon, integrate Intel silicon and/or software into impactful products.
As a SW developer/Integration Engineer, a typical day may include the following:
- Gather and analyze customers business requirements and design and develop a custom solution for quick prototype
- Provide technical input for fixing system defects and provide enhancements for bi-weekly releases for the system
- Responsible for production support on any issues and also closely working with end-users to get feedback and enhance the user experience.
- Provide direct software solution support to end-users, get feedback and enhance user experience
- Work collaboratively with other software engineers, hardware design teams, and/or customers to define and implement requirements to deliver best-in-class solutions
- Work with SW developers and customers to research and prototype new ideas
- Utilize innovative test technologies to develop product and overall platform solution testing strategies
- Drive continuous integration by developing and automating execution of white box and functional validation tests

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications
- The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/ Computer Science or a closely related field of study and 2+ years of experience OR a Master's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field of study and 1+ year of experiences or experience in lieu of degree.
- The candidate must have an unrestricted permanent right to work in Costa Rica
- Intermediate to Advanced English Level
Preferred Qualifications
- Java language and libraries
- Good understanding of Python
- Modern software tools and methods
- Testing techniques-Performance optimization
- Familiar with Agile development processes
- Familiar with Continuous Integration
- Experience in RTL design/understanding
Manufacturing and Product Engineering (MPE) is responsible for test development across product segments, supporting 95% of Intel's revenue. We deliver comprehensive pre-production test suites and component/physical debug capabilities to enable high quality, high volume manufacturing.
Work Model for this Role
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
