Directs and manages a team of software engineers and architects responsible for the development and/or validation of Intel software technologies and solutions for a specific Intel product segment or technology over multiple areas of the software lifecycle, including design, development, validation, debug, optimization, customer engagement, and/or product support. Oversees the development of software across multiple layers of the stack including firmware, drivers, operating systems, software applications and tools, infrastructure, and platforms. Oversees the incorporation of Intel Security coding guidelines, adherence to Intel Security practices, and the team Security awareness and skills. Provides direction and goals to the group to ensure efficient operation, sound engineering and security practices are followed and interacts with stakeholders internal and/or external to Intel. Sets priorities for the team, achieves results across boundaries, ensures an inclusive work environment, develops employees, and manages performance.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Collaborate with team and create/update product roadmap and present to management and partner teams
- Plans/manages both programs and projects that are directly tied to the development, implementation or upgrade of software and services for external customers
- Provides leadership for the project team and functions as the key interfaces to the project or program and to senior management
- Works on problems/tasks in delivery of a specific product or service and removes obstacles and redefine approaches to ensure success.
- Assess risk, identify issues, and proactively define remedial actions and solutions to timely efficient achievement of program goals while ensuring quality standards and budget constraints are met
- Work with internal and external teams to establish realistic estimates and timelines, while supporting continuous monitoring and mentoring to help ensure that projects remain on target to meet deadlines
- Defining and delivering indicators on progress to management and senior leadership
- Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and guide team members on optimum project planning and execution


Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science, or other fields related to computational science with 8+ years of experience or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical engineering or other fields related to computational science with 5+ years of experience
- At least 2 years experience leading a team of engineers
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
- At least 2 year experience stakeholder management of director level customer/partners

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
