In your role as “Software & Infrastructure Engineer” you will be at the core, that our future portfolio offerings become reality. You will ensure the setup and maintenance of an efficient and future-proof infrastructure which enables software development teams to deliver at speed, with high quality, high reliability, and reusing components wherever possible You will take the templates provided by the central DevOps Enablement team, adapt them where needed towards your project needs, always with the focus to reach new levels of productivity using CI/CD You are contributing to best practices to enable our internal and external partners to develop world class solutions based on our portfolio You will be keeping the dots togethers, shape an inner-source community, and automate whatever is possible You proficiently communicate and coordinate with other internal and external organizations and departments What you need to make real what matters. You are having a bachelor degree in computer science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field You have profound technical domain expertise working as a Software & Infrastructure Engineer You have multiple years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and Kubernetes You have experience in providing Infrastructure as Code templates with tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Crossplane, etc. You have expertise with cloud providers like AWS, Azure, etc. You have experience in working as a Full-Stack SW Engineer and languages as Python, Node.js (TypeScript), JavaScript, Go, Java, or C# are not entirely unknown to you You are a very good with Jira, Visual Studio Code, K8s, FluxCD, Docker, et al. You are an very experienced in using and customizing Gitlab, Github, which are basis of code.siemens.com You like to discover and experiment and to stay up to date You can derive best practices and provide profound documentations to a broad internal as well as external audience You are fluent in English You are a team player What we offer.
