Job Description
Eaton’s Power Components Division software strategy is currently seeking a Software Product manager to join our team. This position can be located in Moon Township, PA or Asheville, NC. If residing outside of these locations remote work is offered. Position Overview: PX Dashboard (PXDB) is a key product within the Eaton’s Power Components Division software strategy, The PXDB product requires a dedicated Product Manager to oversee activities related to improvement of the PXDB suite of products and integration across additional Eaton cloud offerings. The primary responsibilities are to coordinate and manage the PX Dashboard product line roadmap to include its integration into an increasing percentage of Low Voltage Assemblies, growth in Medium Voltage Assemblies, integration into the Eaton Brightlayer suite, and growth of its OEM partnerships. The Product Manager will have responsibility for the software roadmap, the hardware processor systems, the integration plans & documentation. As with other Product Management roles, responsibilities will expand beyond the Product, to include the Placement, Promotion and Pricing decisions as well. In this role, you will: Understands the Customers’ use cases and applications for electrical equipment management and control, personnel safety and the value that customers place in these activities. Grows PX Dashboard pipeline and revenues over time by cross-functionally leading product and application development activities, training & educational programs. Develops PX Dashboard roadmaps, user specifications and customer use cases. Create strong alignment in the products’ capabilities by charting the right path working between Customers, Solution Architects and system Application Engineers. Identifies and develops strategic partner/customer relationships required for PX Dashboard to develop tools to integrate our products into 3rd party or additional Eaton systems. Establishes and maintains effective communication with customers and sales personnel, securing business consistent with product line initiatives. Works with our Assemblies integration teams and Power Xpert Application Engineers to improve software interactions with Intelligent Circuit Protection electrical systems. Prepares product literature, marketing videos and communications content with the Marketing team to includes features, benefits, competitive and performance data. This includes printed and electronic formats. Monitor these areas as part of product life cycle management. Oversees identification, development, and both internal and external promotion for new market opportunities for both existing and adjacent product features. Champions product opportunities internally and builds financial justifications for those associated initiatives. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution 3 years Application Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Software Engineering experience with an interest in product management or product marketing roles Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Qualifications: Electrical infrastructure knowledge and prior industry work Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering MBA Certified Scrum Product Owner and/or Cybersecurity certifications Position Success Criteria: We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
