Job Description
Eaton’s Power Components Division is currently seeking a Software Product Manager to join our Digital Software Team. This position is based at our Moon Township, PA facility and currently offers a hybrid 3/2 schedule. Eaton’s Power Components Division provides customers with software solutions solving Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) needs along with Inventory, Asset, and Maintenance Management capabilities (generally aligning to CMMS and EAM industrial offerings). These digital software capabilities underpin technologies offered within Eaton’s Brightlayer digital platform. Position Overview: The primary responsibilities are to execute digital software strategy, define the product & feature roadmaps, work and integrate plans from vendors, and promote Intelligent Circuit Protection solutions that differentiate Eaton and deliver market outgrowth. Our software includes SaaS cloud solutions, a mobile iOS application, and locally installed PC software. Essential Functions: Grow software revenues over time by cross-functionally leading product and application development activities, training & educational programs. Develop software roadmaps, user specifications and customer use cases. Create strong alignment in the products’ capabilities by charting the right path working between solution architects and system application engineers. Identify and develop strategic partner/vendor/customer relationships required for software subsystems to develop tools to integrate our products into larger systems. Engage with key software & technology vendors & providers for the specific product portfolio. Manage discussions on contracts, cybersecurity, pricing, and other topics to achieve the product portfolio goals. Establish and maintain effective communication with customers and sales personnel, securing business consistent with product line initiatives. Work with our integration teams and Power Xpert Application Engineers to improve software interactions with Intelligent Circuit Protection electrical systems. Prepare product literature, marketing videos and communications content with the Marketing team to includes features, benefits, competitive and performance data. This includes printed and electronic formats. Monitor these areas as part of product life cycle management. Provide critical input on the development and implementation of our strategic plan and profit plan for Software, Communications, Device Analytics, Edge Computing & Apps. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 3 years’ experience in product management or product marketing/sales Minimum of 3 years’ experience in pure Software product management and/or marketing/sales roles Preferred Qualifications: Computer Science or Software Engineering degree preferred MBA is a plus B2B Cloud software experience in architecture, development, sales and/or marketing roles Microsoft Azure software and offering experience Certified Scrum Product Owner and/or Cybersecurity certifications are a strong plus Electrical infrastructure knowledge and prior industry work would be highly beneficial We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
