Lenovo is looking for an entrepreneurial, highly self-motivated, visionary
Product Manager that is passionate about Smart Device/IoT management and the
opportunity it provides to deliver innovative and differentiated solutions to
our customers. As a Product Manager, you are a pragmatic visionary that can
understand and translate customer needs (sometimes before the customers
themselves realize they have that need) into requirements that drive the
development of a smart device management software platform solution. Also,
you need to be a pragmatic visionary that can understand and translate
customer needs into requirements that drive the development of AI based
software platform solutions.
Product Management is a leading role in our Cloud Software business
transformation, and is a key part of our software product leadership team. We
are seeking an experienced Software Product Owner with a proven record of
leading and driving successful software products/solutions with the ability to
create innovative and differentiated solutions that will drive value for
Lenovo and our customers.
In this role, you are chartered with anticipating the market, driving key
innovations, and delivering an unparalleled and differentiated device endpoint
management experience across Lenovo’s business segments. You will drive
solutions to address enterprise customer software pain points using a mixture
of artificial intelligence and data analytics to help IT Managers securely
deploy and manage Lenovo PC, IoT and mobile products, while enabling strategic
end user authentication and data access technologies. Focus will be on
delivering solutions that align with Lenovo’s strategy around endpoint device
management.
This SW Product Manager will be responsible to lead and drive product vision
and roadmap, in coordination with key stakeholders. Close collaboration with
stakeholders will be required to align User Stories and product requests with
business value while ensuring that the customer needs are met. You will
interface with customers, field representatives, marketing, and executive
leadership representing the voice of the customer.
As the overall product owner you will be responsible to evangelize product
vision and strategy inside and outside Lenovo. You will own responsibility
for the go-to-market plan and final release approval, ensuing product quality
& feature acceptance criteria in order to deliver the best experience possible
for our customers. In addition you will be the product business owner assuming
fiscal responsibility and Business Case & P/L management.
What you will be doing:
• Create and drive a secure endpoint management solution built for IT Managers
across PC, mobile, and IoT platforms. You will be the expert with the detailed
knowledge of state of the art solutions and competitive products in the
endpoint management domain, and will provide product vision, strategy,
business case and competitive analysis.
• Own the product roadmap and identify and document Use Cases and User Stories
that will define product delivery priorities and timeline
• Groom the product backlog of competing feature requests by evaluating the
business value of each.
• Document customer needs in the form of Epics & User stories to create
innovative and differentiated solutions.
• Own strategic and tactical roadmaps and product plans
• Coordinate closely with internal and external stakeholders to align on
hardware & software product synergies and marketing plans.
• Ensure that prioritized solutions are delivered in a timely manner and
within budget.
• Strategize with product management and stakeholders on issues related to
product requests, vision and overall business value.
• Assist other product managers and team members with solution delivery best
practices.
#### Position Requirements:
Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent real-world
experience.
• 5+ year’s enterprise software solution management experience.
• 3+ years of Agile experience.
• 7+ years of PC Hardware and firmware experience
Preferred Experience:
• Strong technical partnership management experience
• Strong analytical & business skills and ability to evaluate a mix of
quantitative and qualitative data.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and drive complex
software product definition and development with multiple internal and
external stakeholders
• Outstanding organizational skills, especially the ability to manage multiple
concurrent priorities being executed by multiple teams.
• Previous Startup/Entrepreneurial experience
• ATDD Product Ownership experience
• Cloud-driven and cross-device (PC, mobile) software market
