The General Motors China is seeking to identify highly motivated and qualified individuals for potential future opportunities as Software Quality Assurance Engineer . General Motors in China is looking for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer to be part of GM’s newly founded software group in China, which is part of the larger GM Global Engineering team. The selected candidate will help successfully build a functional and technical QA team with a strong sense of quality ownership.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Define test plan based on software development plan for the projects
• Work with the team to design detailed test cases and setup the test environment
• Develop test tools and test scripts to automate the testing
• Execute UT, Code Review, White Box testing with SW developers
• Prepare test report, provide initial issue analysis, and contribute to defect prevention
• Participate in the continuous improvement of test processes and methodologies

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of software quality assurance or test experience and 3+ years of experience in testing Android code, experience with using Android testing framework is preferred
• Solid knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and tools, Strong experience with test automation framework, tool development and scripting
• Programming skills in common languages, such as Java, Perl, Python, software developer experience is preferred
• Knowledge of Scrum/Agile software development process
• Good verbal and written communication skills in both of English and Chinese
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, coordination skills, and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent field; Advanced degrees preferred
