The COSINE EnS Platform Security and Vulnerability Research team is responsible for securing Platforms used by billions of customers every day and is looking for a talented Software Security Engineer to join our team.
We perform vulnerability research in the form of code reviews, fuzzing, and security design reviews on key features and hardware to make sure they meet the highest possible security standards. In this role you will be part of a team of talented security engineers performing vulnerability research across Windows, Azure and Linux components.
Candidates should have experience with C/C++ code auditing, fuzzer development, finding creative ways to break assumptions, a deep understanding of OS security fundamentals, computer science skills, and care deeply about keeping Microsoft’s customers safe.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Participate in security reviews to identify and mitigate risk in Windows and Microsoft devices, including design reviews, code reviews and fuzzer development
Identify security vulnerabilities in a wide variety of key OS features such as network protocols, security features, and Microsoft devices
Clearly communicate security concepts with development teams
Leverage a broad and current understanding of security
Ability to learn new skills and operate in a fast-paced and changing environment
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
2+ years of security experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Have found security vulnerabilities in production software
Experience exploiting bugs and bypassing security mitigations in Operating Systems
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
