Job Description

As part of Intel's Data Platform Group, the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) Strategic Product Planning Group plays a key role in partnering and influencing strategic deliverables throughout the organization. The Software Technical Product Manager role requires a combination of business acumen, organization understanding, networking capabilities and expertise in certain technical areas. The Software Technical Product Manager runs certain strategic processes, visits customers, and influences the organization via these processes. Activities include running components, ingredient, platforms or initiative planning processes, competitive analysis, market analysis, and participating in multiple strategic task forces.

Areas of responsibility for this role include, but is not limited to the following:

  • Contribute and own other functional areas of EDA ( Electronic Design and Automation ) Design Flow and solutions feature roadmap.
  • Generate structured product requirements based upon feedback from customers, internal teams and PSG business partners.
  • Participate and contribute in the ASIC Emulation and Prototyping strategic task force and represent SW planning in relevant forums.
  • Network and coordinate with business stakeholders and key partners to continuously drive customer requirements into the product definitions.
  • Contribute and own other functional areas of EDA Design Flow and solutions feature roadmap.
  • Own ASIC Emulation and Prototyping EDA Design Flow roadmap, including prioritization, customer validation and communication of the roadmap both within Intel and key customers.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes, project work, internships, and/or military experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Education:

Bachelor's or Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. ("Cedula Profesional" may be required)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant FPGA design, product planning/management, customer support or technical marketing experience inclusive of:
  • Experience with FPGA development flows including Verilog/VHDL/System Verilog coding, FPGA design tools, design optimization, timing closure, debugging, verification and validation
  • Experience interacting with customers and partners
  • Advanced English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant working experience.
  • 2+ years of product planning or product management experience.
  • Knowledge in FPGA architecture.
  • Experience in architecting FPGA-based solutions for an end market application.
  • Proven track record of driving successful innovation products and influencing product strategy.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams.
  • 2+ years of experience with ASIC Emulation or FPGA-based prototyping.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
