Marvell is rapidly growing its SSD Storage business with innovative new controllers, software development kits & full turn-key firmware offerings. As part of this growth, we are looking for a Lead Firmware Security Technical Lead / Manager to support our worldwide firmware development team. What You Will Be Doing The Firmware Test Manager will oversee, guide, recommend, proposed, plan and develop tests and tools for the Firmware Test Engineering Organization as well as the Firmware Development Organization regarding unit test design and development. • Our Test Manager needs to be aware of the latest test and tool development improvements and make recommendations to keep FW Test at the cutting-edge level. • You need to be aware of the new FW functionality to help design the proper level of unit tests and guide FW Test team to develop white box testing to cover corner and error injection cases for this new functionality. • You need to ensure that FW code test coverage is at the right level to provide high quality code after it has been tested. • You need to help with the development of a simulation design and implementation plan to deliver a deterministic simulator that can easily be used by the FW developers as well as the FW tests to test the code at such levels as to deliver a FW code set with very few bugs when it is tested on the real hardware. • As our Test Manager, you must develop test script development plans for white box and simulator testing that ensures the FW code is tested as close to 100% code coverage as possible. Your Key Responsibilities Will Include • To develop test strategies for testing SSD firmware under simulation or hardware platforms • Oversee the development/procurement of test systems and simulation environments • To assist and oversee the development of test plans for each SSD under development • To work with and guide test teams in a global organization on the execution of their test plans • To work with and guide FW development teams in a global organization on the design of their unit test plans Education & Experience Necessary for Success • BS / MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software engineering or related field • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical leadership position in a test organization and 7 years of relevant experience • Experience with specifying and evaluating internal and external test systems • Experience developing corner case test plans and automated test result logs processing • Experience working within a firmware development organization championing continuous integration and test-driven development • Ability to develop test suites, and mentor and coach other test engineers. Familiar with best test practices. • Review customer specifications and requirements, and develop test designs to best support them • Experience with test automation infrastructure • Experience with test result analysis, failure duplication, and determining failure source • Knowledge of Agile developme
