Be responsible for oil control solenoid application in engine VCT system, internal engineering approval procedure(Design guide, FMEA, lesson learned, DVP&R, stacks…), product PV/DV, assist with VCT system engineer for customer requirements, work with VCT system engineer to specify requirements, involve in problem solving, and help analysis of product quality issues. Also be responsible for generate communication channel among local/global designer team, suppliers, manufacturing site and solenoid development groups, and assist with laboratory test equipment specification and procurement.

• Establish product specifications with internal team and customer

• Generate program time line based on customer requirements and timing

• Establish system design and packaging layouts with design engineer

• Generate and maintain bill of material

• Component design and design change responsibility

• Interface between customer and controls/solenoid engineering personnel

• Create DFMEA’s

• Create DVP&R’s, and responsible for testing as required to support DVP&R and product development issues

• Create and maintain open issues log, and review with local and global team

• Conduct ESO’s (Engineering Sign Off) as required

• Perform tolerance stack ups for system components

• Oversight of FEA/CFD analysis

• Review, analyze, and report generation of returned hardware

• Propose and analyze cost reduction opportunities

• Support to resolution of quality and/or manufacturing issues, internal and external

• Maintain lessons learned log and experience catalog

• Participate on product launch team
