About The Role:

 

RWS’ Professional Services consultants are responsible for designing and creating the technical architecture and application configurations/customizations needed to make RWS solutions successful in enterprise application environments. The technical consultant works closely with both the client and the services team to evaluate needs and to design and implement a solution that will meet those needs. The ability to think creatively and to develop new approaches to difficult problems is required. Engagements may last a few days to several months and whilst will not all be onsite will certainly involve some travel.

Key Tasks/Duties:

The key tasks and responsibilities of a consultant within Professional Services revolve around the efficient and successful delivery of customer projects. Key tasks for this are:

• Represent RWS in a professional manner for all customer engagements, be it onsite or remotely.
• Configure the RWS solution set to work according to customer needs or agreed statements of work.
• Provide advice and guidance to customers on best practices and the RWS technology portfolio.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Work with customers to facilitate the delivery of projects and be the main point of contact onsite at customer locations.
• Plan and implement the technical component of RWS enterprise solutions
• Understand the client’s situation, goals, and requirements
• Deploy & configure customer-specific solutions based on RWS technology.
• Own complete projects below a certain size based on skill set or form part of a larger enterprise team depending on the scale of the engagement
• Maintain deep knowledge and understanding of RWS and of methodologies, processes, and solutions
• Deliver outstanding customer service
• Ensure the client takes advantage of RWS best practices
• Provide project guidance during customer implementation

• When requested/necessary conduct training sessions and deliver consulting services at the customer site.
• Play a major role in developing our consulting practice

Requirements:

RWS is looking for candidates with the following experience and skills:

• Software development
• Multi-tier system architecture and technologies
• Web-based application technologies
• Windows and Linux Operating systems
• Ability to thrive in a small project team environment (1 – 2 person teams).
• Previous experience with a major systems integrator and/or an enterprise software company a plus.
• Project Management experience a plus.
