Job Description
As an IT Architect at Micron representing one or more service domains, you will participate in the ongoing partnership and communication with the various Enterprise Architecture (EA) teams, Site IT, Solution Managers, Project Managers, and with project teams to develop and implement systems that align with Micron’s Systems Architecture and Roadmaps. You will leverage your high level understanding of the Solution Group's business processes and / or the IT solutions that solve the business needs to provide direction on future capabilities and roadmaps.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Provide subject matter expertise in one or more service’s domains and / or their technical roadmap solutions
- Understand the high-level business processes and requirements.
- Understand how our IT solutions solve business problems both today and enable the business plans for the future.
- Maintain technical and service domain subject matter expertise to provide input on future roadmap decisions.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of business, data, application and technology architectures.
Provide service domain level expertise on projects, BCM, and operational efforts.
- Partner with IT Enterprise Architects, Project Managers, Solution Group Managers, and business unit stakeholders to understand business requirements and how they align to existing roadmap solutions and capabilities.
- Work with Operations Managers and business area stakeholders to identify gaps in the architecture.
- Provide work estimates for EA and Portfolio project efforts.
- Work with project teams during design and execution to ensure alignment to existing roadmap and reference architectures.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to ensure their solutions continue to meet our business needs.
Execute all EA processes by using the Architecture Development Methodology, Project Architecture Review, and Roadmap Management processes to ensure the value and flexibility of Micron’s information technology.
- Drive consistencies across technologies.
- Develop, oversee, and evangelize best practices.
- Perform design and code reviews.
- Keep architecture artifacts up-to-date.
Bachelor+ Degree
Information Technology relates are preferred
Experience
Required:
- 5+ years in Information Technology domain
- Familiar with system design, SW development & HW infrastructure
- Familiar with Data Warehouse or Big Data Solutions.
- Familiar with Scrum SW development model.
- Familiar with Docker.
- Familiar with Splunk.
- Familiar with Apache AirFlow.
- Design data pipeline to move various kinds of data from source to target with quality control and monitoring mechanism.
- SW development with CI/CD solutions.
- Design an environment, work-flow to support Docker.
