JOB SUMMARY

The Solution Architect will plan the data analytics platform and be responsible for related project delivery for the Universal Beijing Theme Park & Resort. S/he will manage end-to-end development initiatives interfacing with various business technology and infrastructure groups ensuring quality and on time delivery of IT solutions.

This position requires in-depth and hands-on expertise with commercial or open source data management and analytics products/tools; and has built depth in the various products and technologies, such as Big Data, Streaming, OLAP, Machine Learning and Container orchestration. The candidate must have demonstrated experience in leading solution delivery in a very high paced environment.

This is a key position on a lean team focused on opening Universal Parks & Resort’s first theme park in China, and will require an individual that can work effectively & positively in a highly complex and dynamic working environment. S/he will be asked to balance a broad set of priorities and ensure progress is made on all tracks of work.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Solution Delivery & Operations

?Responsible for overall solutions delivery from Ideation to Production migration handover meeting Quality and Time objectives

?Collaborates with business technology groups, program Managers and infrastructure teams for requirement collection and timely project delivery

?Take ownership and be proactive in project and resource planning, risk mitigation, scope management and keep management abreast of key deliverables

?Plans and assigns work to resources, keeping track of resource capacity and provide performance input on others to manager

?Responsible for hands on development as and when needed to meet project objectives.

?Coordinate & manage deliverables with supplier resources located Onsite/Offshore.

Solution Development

?Write solution documents capturing prototype details, POC assessments, solution blueprints and publish white papers

?Assist in Updating/Enhancing solution patterns repository.

?Manage new solution or service introduction focusing on client engagement, delivery planning and resource management.

Subject Matter Expertise, Research & Advisory

?Be in business facing role and be proactive in pitching new solutions and assess future demand

?Incorporate best practices, design patterns/principles

?Demonstrates ability to research & learn new business processes independently and apply them as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned

?Flexible to adjust based on the team’s needs

QUALIFICATIONS

?Minimum 5 years’ experience as technical project manager for overall solutions delivery

?Minimum 3 years’ hand-on experience with data analytics platform like Alibaba Maxcompute, Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR, etc.

?Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience with data management tools in Business Intelligence, Master Data Management, ETL, Metadata Management, etc.

?Expert Knowledge of data analytics and processing tools, such as Spark, MapReduce, Hive, Flink, Kafka, EFK, Informatica, Talend. Etc.

?Solid fundamental on SQL and data visualization with tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, PowerBI, etc.

?Proficiency in programming language of Python/Java/Scala/Go, etc.

?Expertise of machine learning tools, such as Weka, R, KNIME, SAS, SPSS, etc. is a plus

?Experience with public cloud service, Alibaba Cloud, Azure and distributed storage system, such as Ceph, HDFS, etc.

?Familiarity with Kubernetes, Openshift and Docker

?Experience on ITIL, DevOps environment and methodology

?Strong ability to solve business issue with statistics and quantitative analysis

?Self-motivated & accountable, with a high level of commitment to responsibility;

?Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;

?Must be process-oriented and able to apply structure to complex problems;

?Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively with all stake holders;

?Language – Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin);

EDUCATION

?Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics (or equivalent relevant work experience).

?Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration is highly desirable
