We at ISAL are a cross organizational global program to build a digital thread across our Xcelerator portfolio from systems engineering, service engineering and planning, reliability engineering, asset management, asset performance management & IIOT to field service execution. Our main target industries are Industrial Machinery, A&D, Heavy Equipment & Transportation, Energy & Utilities and Marine. We support their end-to-end business uses cases with Teamcenter, Teamcenter SLM, Simcenter Made/Amesim, MindSphere and Mendix solutions to create an integrated digital thread. The ISAL Solution Architect is part of the core ISAL program team which is a matrix organization from CAS, DM, STS, LCS and GC&CS segments to develop new and improve existing solutions and integrations in the area of service & asset management. The Solution Architect leads the definition and implementation of the ISAL architecture You'll be responsible for creating and sharing the overall program integrations and reference architectural vision You'll collaborate with and define the integration and reference architecture with our other business segments Be our neutral advocate for conflict resolution support and consulting between business segments Defines strategic directions of the architecture, which then leads to an understanding of what technology and integration facilities are needed to support that architecture Lead and develop overall solution architecture specification, in close collaboration with business group Architects and Product Managers Cover the breadth of the program frameworks as it applies to each individual business unit, assess its viability and design a roadmap and its architecture vision Call out risks and issues appropriately and if time permits, resolve blockers The position is in the Siemens DI SW DM SE&CS E2E Solution Engineering group in Venkata Vodela's (Director Digital Manufacturing Product Engineering) team The Solution Archtect will report for business related topics to Head of ISAL program Torsten Beste Responsibilities Responsible for designing and communicating the overall ISAL program integrations and architectural vision Collaborating closely with the ISAL Solution Manager to align on objectives and key commitmentsM In direct interaction with customers, you archive compelling results by building solutions that satisfy the customer needs today and tomorrow and solutions that scale beyond single customer applications quickly. You always have the overall system in mind and ensure optimizing it for reusability, speed, and maintainability. Handle functional decompositions and systematic methods, toolchains, and documentation to data-driven architecture decisions. Contribute to scale best practices, generate software guidance and governance, to enable our internal and external partners to develop world-class solutions based on the Xcelerator portfolio. Develop integrated solution threads jointly with ISAL Solution Manager and with strategic technology partners like IBM Maximo, Salesforce, SAP and others Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Experience as a Solution Architect in PLM and/or IoT projects Understanding of business processes and challenges within digitalization projects Proven collaboration and leadership qualities to collaborate with business segments and partners Fluent interpersonal skills in English Some very limited travel required <10% Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Experience as Solution Architect in PLM and/or IoT projects Proven leadership skills Desired to have Polarion skills Familiar with SAFe Agile principles The salary range for this position is $116,900 to $210,400 and this role is eligible to earn another 5-10% in variable pay.
