We are currently seeking a Solution Architect - ServiceNow to join our Infrastructure Services organization. The candidate can be based out of any Eaton facility in the United States. Position Overview: The Solution Architect for the ServiceNow team within Infrastructure Services will have responsibility for driving and supporting the design, DevOps, technical strategy and deliver solutions for strategically aligned projects by incorporating best practices and established pattern standards throughout the project lifecycle as an SME in the ServiceNow development space. The Solution Designers primary responsibilities include facilitating project technical leadership activities across multiple business organizations spanning sectors that highly complex in nature, perform design of security and architectural models for complex projects and Provide proactive direction ensuring a stable and scalable solution, also conduit to translate functional business need into tangible action that delivers results meeting both the expectations of our customers and IT data governance responsibilities as part of a collaborative team. He should be defining, publishing, and presenting solutions to technology leaders and business executives of the enterprise spread across geographies. The candidate should have a solid grounding in IT process, excellent technical acumen, strong business process knowledge, and the curiosity and drive to consistently deliver results that leverage and improve upon existing standards and best practices. The candidate must be highly self-motivated with strong communication skills and the ability to guide others in ambiguous situations. The candidate must have a demonstrated ability to translate highly complicated technical solutions into understandable and logical components. In this function you will: Driving the technical delivery of solutions from initiation through development, validation, go-live and user adoption. Collaborating with the Architect, Functional Analyst and ensuring that Solution Architectures are in alignment with the overall strategy. Partnering across technical teams including Platform, FAs, and support teams to deliver business results and value through projects. Providing solution expertise and architecture guidance for ServiceNow applications across all sectors. Responsibility for defining the DevOps workflow and Agile for ServiceNow applications and improving efficiency and proficiency of team. Collaborating with the customer and architect to establish processes and advancing ServiceNow capability / usability centered on delivering solutions that balance strategic and customer driven needs. Providing guidance / support locally within the region and globally as required to guide and troubleshoot complex problems in a timely manner. Regularly communicating and reinforcing status, prioritization, and timing back to project, program and organizational leaders of critical success measures, issues, and mitigation strategies. Responsibility for process, standards, governance, and performance of technical environments. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution A minimum of 5+ years of experience in design, development, implementation, and administration of ServiceNow application development. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in: Asset, Discovery, CSDM, CMDB, HR Service Desk, Mid Servers, oracle/sql, SPM, ITIL, Apigee, agile, java scripting Position Criteria: Leadership skills – driving decisions and deliverables within a team environment. Working in a highly matrixed organization spanning domestic and international locations. Responsibility for process, standards, governance and performance of the shared structures and technical environments. Ability to access and evaluate products/vendors. Ability to drive projects with broad scope of deployment, including sector and/or region. Negotiating small to moderate scale vendor SOW. Architecting, designing and leading solutions for global processes for various functional organizations. Creating development standards and promoting modularization and reuse of code. Contributing to creation of policies, of standard approaches and techniques. Awareness of industry automation trends. Contributing to selecting business cases, develop prototypes and Proofs of Concept. Outside of the box thinking, to identify and work around process design. Developing foundational capabilities for automation development and support. Collaborating with business and development teams to drive robust testing methodologies. Working within operational and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Technical Knowledge: Must have knowledge in ServiceNow ITSM, Asset(HAM/SAM), Core Platform, Discovery, HRSD, SPM, CSDM, CMDB, ServiceNow scripting, ITIL and MID Servers rest APIs, oracle/sql, Apigee, Agile. Strong programming and scripting experience with JDK, JSP, HTML, Java Script. Must have experience with REST interfaces. Experience in Process Consulting, problem definition, Design /Detailing of Processes. Exposure and experience in implementing ServiceNow upgrade projects. Preferred if basic knowledge of SQL. ITIL Service Lifecycle: Service Design. ITIL Service Lifecycle: Service Operation. Preparation of Technical specification document. Lead technical solution design based on engineering and business requirements related to ServiceNow.
