Our team at DELMIA Quintiq, part of Dassault Systemes, is growing and we are looking for dynamic consultants to join us in China. As a Solution Consultant, you will be a key contributor to projects that improve operational efficiency and transform CHINA’s largest companies and government organisations.
This role provides exposure to world-leading planning and optimisation technology, a variety of fast growing industries and a team of smart, passionate colleagues. You will solve puzzles using a combination of business analysis, object oriented design and an enterprise project and optimisation methodology, implementing our DELMIA Quintiq business operations planning solutions.

What will your role be?
As a Solution Consultant, you will collaborate with project management, technical consultants and software development teams. We will provide you with the necessary training on our solutions, implementation methodology and project management tools.
In this role you interface directly with customers, understanding their business processes, discovering optimization opportunities and defining solutions. Your role requires you to clearly articulate your solution to our software developers as well as the customer.

As a Solution Consultant, you will collaborate with project management, technical consultants and software development teams. We will provide you with the necessary training on our solutions, implementation methodology and project management tools.
In this role you interface directly with customers, understanding their business processes, discovering optimization opportunities and defining solutions. Your role requires you to clearly articulate your solution to our software developers as well as the customer.
The challenges ahead
- Drive complex problem solving using analytical thinking to solve a diversity of real world puzzles and translating them into software solutions to deliver business value
- Collaborate with a diverse team of highly motivated problem solvers
- Building solutions with Tier 1 industry leading customers across a wide range of industries (Mental, Logistics, Manufacturing, Mining, Rail, agriculture…)
- Collect requirements from the customer's domain experts
- Be responsible for solution design, building the necessary documentation and sharing the technical requirements with our software development team
- Develop the necessary scenarios to test the solution against the client’s requirements
- Build the required documentation for the customer users to train end users
- Explain and convince the customer representatives of the value of the targeted solution in their language
- Participate in pre-sales activities including business scans, demo challenges, proof of concepts
Your key success factors?
- Degree in Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or a similar discipline
- Confirmed analytical capability and excellent abstract reasoning ability
- Demonstrated programming capability particularly with object oriented programming i.e.: C++, Java, Python and a love for thinking in objects!
- Experience in successfully engaging customers to ascertain and deliver upon business requirements to grow further business opportunities
- Intermediate experience in customer facing roles
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Strong time management skills
- Experience with large-scale software implementations and client-based project work
Preferred skills
- Knowledge of Supply Chain and/or Workforce and/or Logistics Planning, Scheduling & Optimisation
- Knowledge of the mining, manufacturing (sales & operations planning, demand planning), rail or logistics industry
- Familiarity with data modelling in relational databases, data communication (ODBC, SOAP, JMS), object-oriented programming
- Sound understanding of optimisation techniques in operations research and artificial intelligence i.e.: Linear programming, genetic algorithms, heuristic search techniques, constraint programming
- Flexible for travel in China
- Working rights in China
