Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for a driven Project Designer Smart Security to design technical solutions and prepare offers for our Smart Security projects. You will act both as an ambassador for our Integrated Security portfolio, as well as the technical expert and single point of contact for our customers, supported by deeply technical discussions with different stakeholders (Siemens management, strategic suppliers, Siemens HQ as well as with internal technical, project management and sales colleagues). Your mission will be twofold; on one hand, you'll inspire customers through your conceptual approach during demos and workshops; on the other hand, you're in charge of developing total security concepts in the area of electronic security. This will enable you to gradually take up the following responsibilities: Inspiring customers with riveting storytelling and innovative ideas. Analyzing the project request and converting it into the appropriate and feasible technical solution from our Siemens portfolio. Technical clarification of the project with the customer through client meetings. Analyzing, explaining, and clarifying the technical offer and clauses. Developing and maintaining product knowledge to ensure product information support. Keeping up to date with trends in the CCTV and Security market (e.g., cameras, VMS, AI, VCA, recording, video wall solutions, …). Assessing project feasibility from a technical point of view, along with project managers and service delivery managers. Elaboration of quotations, consisting of technical description, cost calculation and preparation of the documentation. Technical sales support: You'll support our sales colleagues during customer negotiations through presentations and demos. Next to that, you’ll accompany them as well on events, fairs, roadshows etc. Over the course of time, your role can convert into a bid engineer, product portfolio specialist, product manager etc. Curious to know if you are the colleague we’re looking for? Both experienced engineers and junior young graduates can apply for this job. The training will vary accordingly. You have at least a bachelor’s degree in a technical oriented background e.g.:  Electronics, Electricity, ICT, Applied Computer Science, Networks & Systems. You have strong affinity with or experience in security and preferably show an interest in cybersecurity topics. You have a highly analytical and certain commercial mindset and like to think conceptually and solution oriented. You describe yourself as both a highly analytical problem-solver with a strong eye for detail but also able to maintain a helicopter view. You thrive on collaboration with different stakeholders and adapting your discourse to various levels of technicality? You can communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders from varying business levels. You are proficient with server/PC configurations. In addition, you also have knowledge about network principles, IP Protocol, virtual environments, databases. You are fluent in Dutch and English. French is an asset. What does Siemens offer you?
