Job Description

SigOpt is an AI experimentation platform that Fortune 100 companies, AI labs, and developers of all stripes use to track training runs, automate hyperparameter optimization, scale jobs and collaborate on model development. By using this product in their workflow, AI developers boost their productivity by 30 percent and accelerate time to tune models by 8x.

Recently acquired by Intel however operating with autonomy, SigOpt gives you startup flexibility with tech leader opportunity. This is a chance to contribute to a key tool in the AI/ML development workflow in a startup-like community within the secure environment of Intel. You will be part of a small team working on everything from machine learning to user engagement.


Works with ODM/OEM customers, SMG, System Integrators, ISVs and 3rd party Users to characterize a customer business problem that can be solved with an Intel platform solution. The Platform Solutions Engineer (PSE) will work with the end user to create pull for the solution by providing unique insight into the technology that can most optimally solve the business need, and by setting expectations for cost, features, and schedule. The PSE will support the solutions team, consisting of Intel enabling engineers, System Integrator, ODM, and/or 3rd party, through the definition process, translating the business opportunity into a User Experience and use cases from which the Product Requirements Document (PRD) is developed. The PSE contributes to the PRD which then drives the development of an accelerated socket, winning through form factor reference design or end to end solution prototype. The PSE will then collaborate with the solution team, participating in the design decisions to make tradeoffs between use cases and cost/schedule/feature expectations. The PSE will work closely with segment marketing and product planning to provide segment use case driven features and performance requirements that influence the base platform roadmap to beat competition.


Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline and 9+ years of relevant work experience; OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline and 6+ years of relevant work experience
  • 6+ years’ experience in:  Professional Rendering Industry including Product or Solutions Design, Definition, and Customer facing roles.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in C++ software development
  • 5+ years’ experience in scripting languages like Python, or Perl,5+ years' experience in demonstrated sales, tech enabling or integration skills
  • Experience in a Customer facing roles including training, and onsite integration

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado:
$130,190.00-$221,610.00

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
