Job Description

Job Purpose


Under the general direction of the Global Solutions Director of Regulated Industries, the Solution Architect works closely with the Sales, Marketing, Operations and Technology teams and their customers to define, create, and present creative solutions.

This position is responsible for mapping RWS Regulated Industries’ service offerings to specific customer requirements through the development and implementation of solutions that meet client expectations for technical competency, process innovation, cost savings and quality.

By analyzing customer requirements, the Solutions Architect will identify market trends and opportunities to propose and develop value-driving new solutions.

The Solutions Architect works closely with the RI Pricing Operations team and assists with pricing generation in order to assist in achieving revenue and profitability targets while serving as a resource to help address strategic pricing, process, technical, and other aspects of customer communication. The position actively participates in client meetings and contributes responses to written proposals. The Solutions Architect provides training to other teams within the organization in solutions related topics.

 

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design and Implementation 

Define high-quality solutions on large and/or complex accounts that enable the delivery of high-quality services in the most productive manner. 
Develop effective technical methodologies that address complex, diverse and/or unique technical requirements.
Play a key role with existing and/or new clients to ensure the correct technical set up, correct understanding of the client and PMO teams needs in the best possible way.
Apply advanced technical skills to evaluate, develop and/or improve the effectiveness of technical processes and tools to ensure that efficiency, quality and profitability are maximized across a variety of diverse client accounts, for example, via account audit program.
Develop quality assurance processes that ensure quality standards are met in complex and/or unique projects and focuses on driving automation and simplification in processes and methodologies.
Provide thorough information and specific requirements for the LDTS and Professional Services teams to proceed with the configuration of the TMS environment.
Assist LDTS and Professional Services teams with the implementation of the technology designed for the relevant solution.
Demo the suggested solution to the client, ensuring all requirements from the client are shown during the demo and address all technical and implementation questions raised by the client and/or internal teams in RWS. 


Request for Proposal (RFP) Management

Work with the RI Pricing Operations team, the Vice President of Operations and the Sales team to identify, evaluate and assess pricing to be included as part of RFP responses.
Contribute responses, analyze and review RFP prior to submittal and contribute strategic guidance as appropriate for final RFP response as needed.
Work closely with the Bid Management team to analyze, evaluate and update RFP response repository.
Work with the Bid Management team to analyze, evaluate and create original RFP content coordinating review and input from appropriate team(s).


Pricing Management

Assist RI Pricing Operations team with analyzing, reviewing, and maintaining a centralized pricing repository.
Provide strategic support to Sales and Operations departments related to pricing.
Analyze and evaluate dependencies of the technology solutions proposed to clients to ensure that strategic and continual buy-rate monitoring is an integral part of overall pricing strategy.
Assist in the identification, evaluation, and assessment of technology solutions (technology-enabled managed services) providing cost reduction and client support.
Opportunity Support
Provide strategic solution expertise support to various teams in client-facing activities such as bid defense presentations, exhibits, and hosted events.
Analyze, evaluate, and develop opportunity-specific solution content, positioning and messaging. 


Solution Knowledge Management

Work with Subject Matter Experts, analyze, evaluate, and assist in the creation of original thought leadership content for agreed upon topics.
Assist in the formulation and implementation of a Knowledge Repository for the Regulated Industries organization.
Identify, evaluate, and assess Subject Matter Expert knowledge and related information for inclusion in Knowledge Repository, and review and update Knowledge Repository as appropriate.
Compile and review market research including the identification, evaluation, and assessment of industry trends.
Formulate, interpret, and implement market positioning of new services.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g. processes, methodologies) across the function that help to improve organizational capability and deliver higher quality services to clients. 


Qualifications

Minimum 3 – 5 years of experience in a similar role

Vast knowledge of the localization industry
Experience in regulated industries (Life Sciences is a plus)
Excellent English level (written and spoken), other languages are a plus
Travelling may be required (less than 5% of the time)
