• Become a trusted advisor within Red Hat's customer base; build solid, lasting relationships with customers
• Design enterprise solutions using Red Hat's application development and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) portfolios that grow business value
• Understand current technology and industry trends; connect trends to customer value and Red Hat’s solutions
• Articulate and demonstrate the value of Red Hat’s solutions to customers through planned account activities including presentations, demonstrations, workshops, proofs of technology, and proofs of concepts
• Serve as an evangelist by presenting at seminars, workshops, local meetups, and select industry conferences
• Participate in and guide vertical and industry-specific subject matter expert teams; create whitepapers, reference architectures, and other industry-specific technical collateral
• Participate in and assist with defining account strategy with broader account teams
• Work cross-functionally within Red Hat to deliver on customer and account team expectations

• 4+ years of experience with JEE programming with application servers like Red Hat Middleware, Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, etc.
• Experience with containers and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions
• Experience with DevOps projects
• Knowledge of application architecture, including model-view-controller (MVC) or Model 2, patterns, JDBC, Maven, continuous integration (CI), build management, etc.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, including Node.js, Spring Boot, CI and continuous delivery (CD), etc.
• Background in presales or consultative customer engagement
• Ability to concisely explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences and present key business and technical value for solutions architecture
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; extensive experience presenting to IT managers
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or electrical engineering is a plus
• Knowledge of infrastructure components including networking, storage, backup, and monitoring is a plus
