Job Description
Eaton's Electrical Sector, Critical Power & Distributed IT (CPDI) division, is currently seeking a Sourcing & Cost Out Manager to lead the sourcing, supploer performance and cost out program for the division operations. This position is open to remote work, but ideally the selected candidate will be located in Raleigh, NC. In this role you will: Collaborate with Global Procurement to align ongoing business and new product introduction requirements with central strategies. Negotiate commercial agreements for business specific categories not managed by the Global Procurement team. Manage sourcing for new product introduction. Drive external supplier engagement and performance through scheduled business reviews for key suppliers Work with Electrical Sector Supply Chain and Division Finance to create profit plan goals for material economics and cost savings Manage division cost out project tracking and reporting to prioritize savings opportunities and forecast and address gaps to plan as required. Manage the cost out ideation process. Work with local sourcing and functional leaders in Global Procurement, Logistics, VA/VE, OpEx and Finance to generate cost out project ideas and load into the Global Procurement SharePoint. Work with Program Management Office to assign project leaders, and provide ongoing feedback on cost out results vs. project performance Lead and manage projects to improve Supply Chain related metrics such as supplier on-time delivery, supplier DPPM, DOH, DPO and supply base reduction. Leverage EBS Procurement Excellence and Cost Out roadmaps to drive continuous improvement. Deploy SCM functional competencies. Build Organizational capability by developing direct reports, conducting training as required and coaching and mentoring supply chain professionals in the organization. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain and/or project management Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience Required working knowledge and experience with computers Position Criteria: Demonstrated understanding of cost out and new product introduction Proven track record of achieving results Superior communication and collaboration skills Demonstrated success in leading projects and teams Ability to drive results while working in a matrix environment and through developing and empowering individuals and teams Managerial courage with good conflict resolution and negotiation skills Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office applications Preferred Criteria: Engineering Degree or equivalent technical experience MBA Working knowledge of Global Procurement Sharepoint (GPS), Eaton Spend Management Tools, Cost Out Database, Encore and ProLaunch Eaton considers qualified applicants regardless of criminal histories, consistent with local laws.
