Job Description
General:
- Using data, statistical and analytical tools to generate supplier spend report, raw materials trend reports, productivity / savings calculations and analysis, dashboards and KPIs in support of the Souring & Procurement team and identification of sourcing opportunities. The position holder will continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the tools and report utilize by the Sourcing and Procurement team to support the business strategy and goals.
- Act as the subject matter expert for all supplier spend analysis and reporting including the process and tools;
- Assist and support the development of system and process to collect, analyse and interpret data, leverage existing data sources and tools (SAP);
- Own and manage the historical spend database ensuring quality, accuracy, completeness and the availability of data;
- Generate the supplier spend report including data-driven insights and recommendations;
- Research and analyze material costs and labour cost analysis; rate analysis; and trending reports;
- Support the identification of cost-saving opportunities through data analysis;
- Develop and produce analysis and reporting for productivity / cost savings calculations, departmental dashboards, KPIs, targets / goals, efficiency and effectiveness measures, and other metrics;
- Take ownership for the generation and maintenance of the Productivity Tracker and Project Tracker, and ensure they are up-to-date, accurate and distributed appropriately;
- Provide general analytical support to the Sourcing team including:
- Market analysis – perform market analysis comparing spend trends with published indices to identify opportunities;
- Other data driven / reporting projects and presentations as assigned.
- Degree Holder in business, finance or commerce;
- 5 years’ experience in data analysis and mining experience with a strong preference working with supplier / souring data;
- Strong working knowledge of SAP;
- Good knowledge of the Procure-to-Pay Process;
- Experience in developing presentations / decks to aid in communication and decision-making;
- Collaborative team players, self-motivated & initiative, able to work independently;
- Excellent interpersonal skill with the ability to work across multi-cultural environment;
- Strong data analysis skills to support the monitor set-up and result measurement;
- Strong in user communication and insight delivery / business planning;
- Expert proficiency working in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word;
- Proficiency in using advance statistical analysis method including Excel, SQL, Chart, Function, Pivot Table, etc.;
- Good command of spoken & written English & Chinese.
