Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION Responsible for plant Cost Out /Sourcing projects, principal Influenciator and initiator for localization Sourcing projects from PRD & PDRD plants. Support of resiliency projects that requires sourcing support from SCM. Localizing suppliers, negotiating with suppliers, developing and implementing projects follow up PROLauch methodology & ESSP when required Lead and support monthly COP results follow up productivity Council meetings to prioritize plant projects and present monthly productivity savings for the plant. Support Capacity Constrains that requires launch of a new supplier to meet Customer demand. Implement Strategy 3-5 years for the procurement function in the assigned plant. Liaison with corporate Category Managers Responsibilities Identify, initiate, qualify and manage sourcing activities, including but not limited cost reduction activities by identifying supplier consolidation / localization / resourcing and alternative vendors who can offer operational benefits/savings, with no compromise on quality and services. Working with users on alternative materials, supplies and services for overall cost and productivity improvement. Perform and lead sourcing, negotiation and initial supplier profile, alignment of global/division strategy review. Perform good communication and relationship with cross-function areas and suppliers. Manage & update project status with stakeholders. Report and drive cost out results. Keep for continuous ideas creation according cost out goal, at least for the double. Handover to materials team by notifying the project readiness. Look for material improvement in supply chain (localization, capacity, scrap) #LI-SL4 Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or international business. Above 3-year experience in sourcing activities. Be familiar with ISO9001 /14000 or IATF Quality System. Strong project management skill. Strong and quick problem-solving skill on operation execution. Strong coordination and communication skill with inter and external customer and supplier. Strong negotiation skills with the suppliers. Good command of verbal and written English. Basic Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in purchasing related roles Minimum 3-year experience working in a manufacturing environment required. Preferred Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in business, materials, supply chain, inventory control, or operations/logistics/Industrial Eng is preferred APICS certification is preferred Six Sigma Greenbelt certification is preferred Minimum of 1 year of progressive planning or buying experience in an ETO environment SAP Experience Position Criteria: Demonstrated sound decision-making skills.
