Job Summary

The candidate will have responsibility for Project Management, Sourcing and Supplier development for projects identified by Textron Specialized Vehicles (TSV).

Organizational Relationships:

The Sourcing Leader - Asia reports to Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing and dot line reports to Director of Operations in US.

Job Responsibilities

• Keeping project schedule, cost, quality and delivery on target. Communicating the progress of Projects to the appropriate Global Commodity Manager.
• Identification and qualification of new suppliers.
• Business development and commercial negotiation with local supplier base.
• Drive supplier improvements on cost, quality, delivery, and service.
• Issue and follow-up on Supplier non-conformances.
• Travel to suppliers for process verification and or validation.
• Coordinate of all in-country PPAP’s until approval to include Run at Rate and APQP Methodology.
• Supplier Audits (systems, process, and product).
• Ensure effective communication to and from suppliers.
• Liaison between suppliers and TSV.
• Provide logistical support for TSV representatives visiting Asia.

Education/ Experience

• Be graduated from Technical University with either a degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering.
• Have at least 2-year experience in Manufacturing, and or Quality.
• Have at least 5-year experience with Project/ Program Management and Purchasing.
• Have good command of English (both written and spoken), including the technical vocabulary.
• Familiar with Continuous Improvement Methodology (Six Sigma).
• Must be headquartered in mainland China.

• 50 % of travel
