Mission of Sourcing strategy: Define, implement and steer the right direct and indirect sourcing strategy for PC Qingdao, with attention to the different business requirements of all present divisions.
Supplier selection & control: Search, select, negotiate, qualify, control and develop the right suppliers for each commodity, in line with the set sourcing strategy, where applicable in cooperation with other sites of the Atlas Copco Group
Factory support: Support the company's targets and actively support other departments in any sourcing related activity.
Main responsibilities:

Legal compliance & EHS: Ensure that all sourcing activities and procedures in-house and throughout the supply chain are in compliance with all relevant legislation, are safe, in respect of the environment, and in line with VTPS and VTLS. Continuously challenge and improve the way we work and keep up to date with latest changes of laws, rules and regulations.

Business code of practice: Maximize transparency in all sourcing activities. Implement, safeguard the business code of practice. Train your team members and the suppliers. Actively review and audit for compliance.

Strategy: Define, implement and steer the right sourcing strategy for PC Qingdao, with attention to the different business requirements of all present divisions. Oversee a clear plan for each commodity in line with present and future business needs, within the PC and where applicable in line with marketing requirements and interests of other entities within the Group, developing a rational, professional and sustainable supplier base. Monitor your purchasing KPI’s and define necessary targets for your department.

Coach and develop the team to maximize its full performance. Oversee the knowledge and skill matrix of your team and actively steer training programs to close gaps and increase effectiveness, including but not limited to technical skills, product knowledge, negotiation, communication, finance and cost calculation, relevant digital tools and constructive behavior. Continuously increase the maturity of your team and secure flexibility and agility of your team.

Explore, search, select and qualify: Search, select and qualify the best suppliers for existing and new parts, in line with the set strategies, guaranteeing perfect quality delivered at the right time against the lowest total cost. Continuously explore the markets, looking out for new opportunities, new suppliers and new technologies.

PtP: You effectively manage the full purchase-to-pay business process.

ME, NPI and R&D: actively support the various engineering departments in reaching their business needs in all their supplier related activities, including but not limited to supplier co-development, sample sourcing, NPI purchases and testing latest technologies.

CC7 and glide path: guarantee the cost saving targets set in CC7 and glide path are met in full and on time, without compromising the total cost to the company, quality or delivery stability.

SQE: As part of controlling and developing the supplier base, manage the SQE activities and procedures to continuously improve the supply chain. Audit, control and resolve any problems in business code, contracts and agreements, quality, delivery time, costing, agility, risk management or any other supplier related aspect that affects the company. Support and push the suppliers to continuously improve their operations, coach and support where possible.

You actively support the Product Quality Meeting in reporting the overall quality performance of the supply base.

Network and benchmark: keep close contact and share best practices with your peers in other Group entities, particularly the sourcing teams in Cheonan, Tianjin, Cologne and Wuxi.

Cooperate with all other departments in a constructive way, working together towards the goals of the company. Develop and support a spirit of open communication, fairness, non-discrimination and respect for the individuals in all areas of operation.
