JOB SUMMARY:
The Sourcing Manager, Technical Services is responsible for the acquisition of materials and services for multiple, simultaneous and major attraction development projects at Universal Beijing Resort. This includes the acquisition of the material at the most economic price possible, considering commodities market fluctuations, shipping and raw goods prices from both China based and global vendors. That may entail purchasing materials in one country to be shipped into China from other countries around the globe. This position and team are also responsible for the timely delivery of goods (Just-in-Time delivery) to minimize warehousing costs, yet to have the materials available when they are needed by the construction and service crews. This role will also take on the added responsibility of tracking and providing warranty claim information, vendor management, and repair follow-up with vendors for UBR.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
? Prepare and execute RFP/RFI with technical services to optimize division for divisional spend of $100MM. Collaborates with Tech. Services Ops and related UBR Business Units to optimize strategic sourcing efforts, TCO analysis and develop host-country-specific negotiation and pricing strategies for new China based projects to achieve optimal value
? Create, execute, and manage the technical services holistic plan to measure supplier warranty compliance associated with the launch of an attraction from Universal Creative to its turnover to technical services.
? Leads meetings related to competitive analysis and competitive market place for services and related commodity groups in technical services
? Identifies long term sourcing strategy for services and related commodity groups that can be used globally and nationwide. Also identifies critical long-term issues that could affect the planning and decision-making process.
? Hosts periodic meetings with suppliers and business partners to review project performance, procure to pay (P2P) opportunities, and drive continuous improvement through the attraction development life-cycle
? Demonstrate Exemplary integrity and ethics in all instances
? Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UBR policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

SCOPE: This position will be responsible for category management within the Technical Services arena. The sourcing manager will develop and provide updates to senior management on the competitive marketplace, commodity trends, and labor rates within the targeted commodity segments. This role will collaborate with internal and external business partners and must have a high level of business acumen and integrity. In addition, this role will have a high degree of interaction with counterparts at Owner JV, UPR, NBCUniversal and Comcast.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree is a plus. Other: Six Sigma qualification or PMP preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
? 5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing of complex commodities.
? Experience in leading/managing project teams in a strategic sourcing environment, experience in the sourcing of capital projects, real estate or infrastructure preferred.
? Professional direct negotiations with supplier services and/or Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
? Ability to perform detailed and structured quantitative analysis, including financial analysis of bid packages, development of total cost of ownership models, savings calculation, and similar.
? Ability to collaborate in a team environment and ability to build and lead effective cross-functional teams.
? Ability to manage diverse stakeholder interests and expectations. Strong project management experience.
? Ability to assess market trends. Knowledge of best practices in supply chain management and sourcing.
? Advanced negotiation skills.
? Experience working for and negotiating with Fortune 100 companies.
? Deep understanding of and experience with external market analysis.
? Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or similar certification. Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
