Key Relationships: Regional Director China, Design, Sales, Global Supply Chain Director, China Finance Manager

Role Summary: The role will on business from current Strategic Accounts & other large customers throughout China, develop new suppliers or identify approved supplier new capabilities to expand growing system products offering. This role will work closely with sales team, design team and project management team. Builds Haygrove China’s levels of efficiency, service and profitability by managing purchasing from suppliers and all deliveries to partners or subsidiaries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Defining and initiating of sourcing and procurement strategies and providing project support to ensure the long-term, cost-effective supply of materials. From case to case, initiating purchasing processes and executing approaches to problem-solving to secure local objectives.
• Supplier chain development &management: Communicate with Supplier, be responsible for enquiry, request for quotation, analysis and evaluation from supplier; release PO and keep track of product arriving, ensure NPI schedule.
• Conduct on site supplier certification/AQ to facilitate a strong base of high performing, low total cost, and reduced risk suppliers.
• Actively communicate with technical department, project department to understand project progress and meet project schedule.
• Initiating and expediting supplier quality improvement programs and alternative source of supply to win and develop the best suppliers and to establish an optimum supply chain.
• Regular contacts with interface partners to recognize developments (in market, demand, etc.) and exert influence accordingly. Conduct market intelligence study and management reports accordingly.
• General support to the sales team as it related to crossing/sourcing/quoting.
• Work with Purchasing, Design to qualify new suppliers or materials; supporting quality/cost improvements in manufacturing and the supply chain.
• Manage supplier change notifications to ensure that they are appropriately assessed, communicated and all follow-up activities are tracked through timely completion.

Skills & Experiences:

• At least 3 years of work experience in quality control and supplier quality management, demonstrated ability to work closely with engineering functions to establish fundamental standards.
• Hands-on experience in supplier development and practical manufacturing. Engineering and OEM procurement experience is desired and preferred.
• Knowledge of tunnels design/produciton, growing system and farm construction preferred.
• Expert knowledge in the application of Quality Management Systems, problem resolution techniques and improvement tools.
• Communication and collaboration skills with the ability to develop relationships across levels, geographies and segments.
• Highly organized, prioritizing, efficient and able to multi-tasks.
• Take the initiative to improve the workflow and catch up the deadline.
• Comfort to work in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment.
• Work independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management. Master’s degree preferred.
• Engineering Degree educated or equivalent experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience with global product categories and managing cross functional teams.
• In-depth knowledge of the supply chain and logistics functions.
• Solid planning, and project management skills. Able to work independently in the field.
• Good written and spoken communication skills in English preferred.

Travel: Willingness and ability to travel (travel could be 50% during periods of supplier assessment and implementation)
