As our Sourcing Quality Engineer (SQE), you will be responsible for coordinating suppliers and verifying product quality standards per Bradken’s requirements, including all agreed contractual obligations. You will be an experienced SQE, you will conduct capability assessments that verify supplier qualifications and regular site-based vendor audits to measure ongoing technical compliance.

You will focus on continuous improvement and will provide technical capability within the Product Sourcing team to deliver sourcing channels that are compliant, flexible (low risk), consistent (DOTIF), sustainable and low-cost.

You will be an expert in sourcing, you will identify and qualify suppliers, audit compliance, and identify and monitor supplier performance per the audit schedule. You will have an eye for detail, and conduct problem-solving, and root-cause analysis to understand and rectify the nature of casting defects.

You are an excellent communicator and will serve as the liaison for suppliers and assist with internal and external technical queries.

You will be experienced in conducting product first-article inspections and generating first-article inspection reports; submitting them for review and approval, you will achieve the highest standard of outcomes at every stage in the project.

Key Criteria:
Relevant tertiary education in engineering, ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy or Materials.
5+ years’ experience in a steel and/or iron foundry environment working with cast products or similar heavy industrial manufacturing processes in a Product Sourcing role is essential.
Ability to read and interpret engineering documents such as drawings, specifications, and CAD models

This role will be based in Xuzhou.
