Role Summary/Purpose

Manage the buying process for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures to enable sourcing execution.

Essential Responsibilities

• Optimize sourcing process; achieve lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs for China project services.
• Manage Purchase order requisitions workload through prioritization tool, Issue Request for quotation to qualified Suppliers.
• Work proactively with Engineering department to align technically Supplier’s quotation.
• Proved Negotiation skills, able to obtain competitive prices and delivery date in order to satisfy business need.
• Use Total Cost approach to evaluate quotes and make buying decisions, enforce GE Terms and Conditions, Issue purchase order and manage order amendments.
• Assure that the information will be distributed properly to the internal customer in effective and timely manner.
• Able to identify repeatable items on his/her workload and to insert them into Blanket Orders.
• Manage vendor recovery related to orders issued; assure that material/services will be delivered on schedule, at negotiated price and meet required quality standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve problems relating to orders requirements, deviations, substitutions, priorities, delays, damages, or quality issue.
• Build and develop strategic supplier relationships, scouting vendor as needed.
• Drive sourcing initiatives on savings, supplier performance and supplier base rationalization Participate in global commodity team activity.
• Coordinate training of suppliers to accomplish business initiatives.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Technical/ engineering degree, from an accredited university or college is preferred
• At least 3+ years of experience in sourcing relevant areas,
• With experiences in sourcing, operation, planning
• Use ERP/Oracle/Microsoft Perfectly Fluent in English and Chinese, Italian speaker is plus.
• Strong negotiation with proved track record of success
