Transcription/annotation
Perform transcription and/or semantic annotation of audio recordings following predefined guidelines
1. Participate in the improvement of tools and guidelines
2. Provide trainings to newly recruited linguistic engineer as needed
3. Other work assigned by PM or supervisor
Work content
The main work content includes transcription and mobile testing.
For transcription, you will be given tasks that include 200 lines of text and audio. The text may not always match the audio you hear. Your task will be to make corrections wherever necessary so that the audio matches the text. You will also add tags to indicate the presence of certain sounds. We have two sets of guidelines: Writing and tagging.
For mobile testing, you will be guided to improve the relative sets of mobile phone and improve the end users experience.
Job Requirements:
-Must be natives
-Passion for language with good knowledge of phonology in the target language
-A degree in a language-related field such as linguistics, or similar preferred
-Keen interest in computer-literate and speech, mobile and online technology
-Great attention to detail while working efficiently and good organizational skills
-Strong, creative problem solving and analytical in nature
-Good English skills in reading, writing and oral communication
